Planting a Tree. Growing Awareness. Supporting Young People.
The Blue MOTO Wellness Tree Program is a community mental health awareness and early intervention initiative designed to support young people in our local schools.
Developed by Blue MOTO and in conjunction with headspace Orange and Lifeline Central West, the program aims to create a lasting connection point for students who may be experiencing challenging times.
Each Wellness Tree provides a place where students can pause, reflect and find information about youth mental health support services.
The program also encourages conversations about mental wellbeing, helping young people understand that support is available and that asking for help is a sign of strength.
A Tree of Harmony, Strength and Hope
Blue MOTO chose the Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia) for its Wellness Tree Program because of its association with harmony, strength and resilience.
The elm symbolises inner strength, wisdom, balance, calm and peaceful energy — qualities that reflect the message behind the Wellness Tree Program.
As the tree grows over the years, it becomes a lasting reminder to students that difficult times can pass, that support is available and that they don't have to face life's challenges alone.
Each tree is protected by a specially constructed guard featuring wellbeing messages, along with a plaque explaining the purpose of the tree and providing contact information for youth mental health support services.
Blue MOTO welcomes enquiries from schools interested in learning more about the Wellness Tree Program.
The program aims to create a permanent reminder of the importance of mental wellbeing, early intervention and reaching out for support.
Each Wellness Tree can become a meaningful part of the school community, with wellbeing messages and information about youth mental health support services.
Schools interested in finding out more about the program are encouraged to contact Blue MOTO.
